Help-4me weather

There are a number of weather forecast sites with varying degrees of complexity, some of which you have to pay for.

BBC weather is the simplest and offers five day forecasts.

Do a Google search (CTRL W) on bbc weather and the town name you want to know about, press ENTER. If you live in a small village you will have to choose a town nearby.

You will then be offered a choice of websites. The first website on the list will be the nearest that the BBC can offer. Not all towns have their own weather forecasts. If you think it’s what you want, Press ENTER.

To get to today’s forecast, press CTRL F (find), type today’s day, e.g. Sunday, press ENTER. Cursor up once and you will read a summary of today’s weather, with maximum then minimum temperature given in Centigrade and Fahrenheit, wind direction and speed in miles then kilometres per hour (mp/h km/h); humidity given as a percentage, then air pressure in millibars (mb), and finally a description of visibility.

To read forecasts for the next few days, cursor down

If you suspect the temperature will go below freezing, press the Left Cursor key on the temperature figure. A dash/minus before the temperature indicates it’s below freezing.
